November 20-24, 2023: Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director, IBA Karachi, visited Lower Chitral (Susum, Royee, Garamchashma) and Upper Chitral (Kuragh, Booni, Parwak, Chapali) regions, as part of National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP) outreach activities. The activities were conducted to invite potential candidates to apply for the IBA NTHP - Batch 2024, which is a fully funded scholarship program.

During the visit, the THP team, along with Dr. Zaidi, toured various schools and colleges and met with students from multiple institutions including, Aga Khan Higher Secondary School (AKHSS), Lower Chitral; Frontier Corps Public School & College, Lower Chitral; Aga Khan Higher Secondary School (AKHSS), Susum (Karimabad), Lower Chitral; Aga Khan Higher Secondary School (AKHSS), Royee, Lower Chitral; AL-NASIR School, Garamchashma, Lower Chitral; Aga Khan Higher Secondary School (AKHSS), Kuragh, Upper Chitral; Government Boys Degree College, Booni, Upper Chitral; Government Girls Degree College, Booni, Upper Chitral; Aga Khan Higher Secondary School (AKHSS), Parwak, Upper Chitral and Aga Khan Higher Secondary School (AKHSS), Chapali, Upper Chitral.

The purpose of the visit was to encourage students to apply for the IBA and NTHP scholarship programs. This program is a flagship inclusivity and diversity program that aims to bring forth the best talent from the country. By visiting these institutions, the team aimed to identify and attract talented students from diverse backgrounds who could benefit from the program.

The success of these outreach efforts lies in the transformation of lives through education, aligning with the broader goals of the NTHP Program in creating opportunities for deserving individuals.
