As a student of NTHP 2019, I must admit that the exposure I got by interacting with people who belonged from diverse cultures and regions around Pakistan, during my 48 days stay in Karachi is one of the most unforgettable and wonderful experiences I have ever had.

Having a pre medical background securing admission in BBA was challenging for me but through hard work along with the efforts and guidance of teachers and mentors I was able to do so. This scholarship has provided me with the opportunity to pursue my goals.

"THE KEY TO SUCCESS IS TO FOCUS ON GOALS , NOT OBSTACLES"

IBA's National Talent Hunt is a prestigious platform for a number of students who desire to cope every hindrance in their way to gain knowledge but do not have enough resources to cope up the requirements of modern era studies.

I belonging to a civilized family having a single bread earner i.e. : my father, wished to study at IBA but could not have passed the test without the orientation program. This program showered blessings of knowledge upon me , and I'm proud to be part of the program having efficient management, pioneers, and dedicated faculty members.

To sum up in a nutshell, I would thank all sponsors, faculty and program management for bringing for supporting talented but financially challenged students.

I belong from a lower middle class family which has only one earning member. I have studied in government schools throughout my academic career, although it is very difficult to continue higher education in Pakistan, I have struggled very hard to accomplish my this dream.

To study in a prestigious university like IBA through NTHP is a privilege whereby every student is given equal opportunity to get benefit from and to materialize their dreams. IBA has a very peaceful and friendly environment where everyone is like your family member, they are always there to help you besides it also provides you a diverse environment where you come to know about people from different backgrounds.

In short it has been a wonderful experience here at IBA.

Ramsha Asim - BBA 2018 - Shikarpur, Sindh

Belonging to an average family and being the daughter of a single parent, it was never easy to even dream of an institution like IBA, Karachi. But miracles actually happen when there's a will. IBA-NTHP gave me hope and power to live my dream. I came to know about NTHP and the scholarships they provide, without a second thought, I applied for it and was called for orientation program'18. In those two months, I polished myself in every way possible and due to hard work and determination of my teachers and mentors, I got admission in BBA program at IBA. NTHP not only helps us in improving and enhancing our knowledge, it polishes our personality and builds up our confidence too.

A student like me can never aim for such a prestigious institute if there are no opportunities. Many students have the potential to do miracles, but due to lack of resources, those talents remain hidden. NTHP realizes this and gives a path to those students, and they are the ones who build these success stories. NTHP is a ray of hope for students like me.

Sohaib Ahmad - BS (Accounting & Finance) 2018 - Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab

Sohaib Ahmad

Well my learning experience here at IBA during the THP days was quite amazing in many aspects. Along with improving a lot in English, Mathematics. Communication skills and I also learned to rely on myself and to handle problems confidently. "The faculty, Mentors, THP Team, and facilities are well-managed combination and blessing for the students attending orientation". Honestly speaking I won't forget the kind and caring behavior of Sir Rizwan, Sir Zahoor and sir Umesh i.e. THP team.

My message for the upcoming NTHP students is that try to build your faith in Allah and then yourself. Believe me, it's the way helped me to achieve whatever targets I have set in my life till today. you want to study at IBA just follow this very simple rule during the THP days that is "Do your study while remaining honest to yourself and keep praying to Almighty Allah".

In the end, I am very thankful to the Director THP Dr. Zeenat Ismail, THP team, and my sponsors. You people are bringing revolutions in the lives of many. May Allah bless all of you and pray the program will expand more and more by the time.

I belong to a humble family which has only earning member is my mother working as a teacher. I have studied through government educational institute from primary to intermediate in my home-town due to financial constraints. After completing my intermediate it was high time to either discontinue my education or have other supportive sources to manage and continue higher education studies because In Pakistan quality education institutes are beyond affordability for most of the students and I am one of them.

I came to know about IBA Karachi Talent Hunt Program which becomes my way forward for the desired studies at the premier institute of Pakistan. I put in extra efforts and participated actively in the initial selection process ( Test and Interview) and luckily selected for two months of orientation training to prepare myself for the admission in IBA through highly qualified IBA faculty and mentors with all the other facilities on scholarship.

The biggest challenge then was to pass IBA's aptitude and I overcome it by following structured and well-developed training pattern and support of resource persons facilitating in the training and as a result, I am studying in IBA on scholarship.

IBA Karachi has uplifted and facilitated hundreds of students through its Talent Hunt Program with the support of Sponsors so I am thankful to sponsors and request them to expand it more in the coming years.

Areeba Waseem - BS (Computer Sciences) 2018 - Korangi, Karachi

Areeba Waseem

I am always encouraged by my father, the only breadwinner of our family to have high aims regarding my studies and career, as a result, I have always dreamed to become a part of the institute as prestigious as IBA. Premier institutes across Pakistan are very expensive so is IBA. My dream costs more than my family's available resources and it becomes impossible to carry on with it but it is rightly said that "Where There Is A Will, There Is A Way".

I saw the advertisement for the IBA Talent Hunt Program and didn't give it a second thought but to apply and leave no stone unturned to avail this golden chance leading me towards fulfilling my dream. Throughout my life, I have strived to achieve my goals solely on hard work and determination. I apply this rule here also and after two months of rigorous orientation training. ALHAMDULILLAH got direct admission for BS (CS) program. My this achievement is shared by the faculty members, mentors, THP team along with my family's prayers.

I am really thankful to all the resource persons and sponsors for turning my dream into reality. You all are bringing revolution in the lives students like me. May this program expand more and bring significant changes in many other students.

Tahira Batool - BS (Computer Sciences) 2017

Sarchina Kumari

To live in a city in which the news of losing your loved ones in a bomb blast or target killing is common thing can be a very challenging life. I am also a victim of such incident in which once my whole house was destroyed in a blast and the most tragic incident was the assassination of my father. These incidents never kept me away from education because I found the solution for termination of this bloody system in education.

The achievement of my goal did not fade away because of IBA which gave me a golden chance in order to come at this renowned Institute through NTHP. My life’s aim became practical through Allah's will, IBA, THP family and most importantly my mother's support. I just want to thank Allah Almighty that he put my fate in IBA as such to fulfill my dream.

Sa’adat Shaikh - BS (Accounting & Finance) 2017

Sarchina Kumari

When I completed my intermediate from my hometown, I had only a few options under consideration for my study and career includes to part of this renowned institution - IBA Karachi. I believe a goal is not something to be envisioned only; It is a thing to be achieved. However, there was a considerable gap between my educational achievements and those of the students from big cities.

I was worried to take part in the admission process of an institute which has an open merit admission system. Competition for it is so high because most of the students competing for admission are having the international standard education and financially stable background, but I lacked in both aspects.

One day, I came to know about National Talent Hunt Program. This program was a ray of hope I had been looking for. I applied for it and fortunately qualified for it. The training period at IBA was transformative for me. I had to get through it to make my dream come true.

In a nutshell, this success story would have been incomplete if I didn’t have the support of my family, THP team, mentors, faculty and above all my Sponsors… I owe them all.

Nothing comes to you itself. Nothing is for granted. In a world of so much competition, you have to earn your spot. You have to be one step ahead of all others. You have to be brutal in your approach towards success because you want it badly.

“A strong, positive self-image is the best possible preparation for success”.

Alhamdulillah, I have achieved what I dreamt of; a passage into one of the most prestigious institutions. Thanks to my parents and colleagues for supporting me and thanks to THP department, Teachers and mentors for up bringing me to this level.

Remember, Don't give up after a failure, because success may be few failures away

Sarchina Kumari

It is an immense pleasure to share a fantastic career building experience being part of NTHP - Batch 2017. I am very grateful for sailing me up to now. My dreams were born in the desert of Tharparkar where poor quality of education and financial obstacles always hinder students getting into prestigious universities.

NTHP program offers the opportunity to the students to come up and show their talent. I have learned a lot during training duration and within a short time frame and encouraging fellow youth and anyone who can dedicate his/her time on studies to do so now.

Thank you for assisting and advising me throughout the training and admission process. Without you, I would not have given such a life-transforming opportunity.

May the Almighty bless THP team, Mentors, Faculty and Sponsors for developing and managing this wonderful program.

My two months at IBA were among the best moments of my life. Undoubtedly it was not only for my academic development but a personality as the whole and enable me to be part of IBA Karachi by qualifying for admission in BS- Computer Sciences.

Through motivational workshops with incredible personalities, interactions with mentors and faculty members who were nothing short of champions, I was challenged to discover a voice I did not know I had and I conclude that this training experience prepared me for my Career and Future.

Simply this opportunity was a blessing for me to discover and frame my strengths. At last thanks, THP team, faculty members, and mentors for making these two months amazing.

Being an average student, I could never imagine myself studying at IBA. But my father encouraged me to work hard and be a self-dependent person. Due to my family’s constant support and my hard work, I scored good marks in matriculation. And one day, my brother told me about the NTHP program. Knowing my family’s financial problems, this program appealed to me a lot and I decided to join it. I gave the admission test And thanks to Allah, I got selected for BBA Program.

It has been a wonderful experience here at IBA. I am very thankful to the THP Team, and especially my sponsors for giving me a chance to fulfill my dreams for future.

In last, I would say that my achievement isn’t just mine, everyone including my family, teachers, mentors, and friends had a big share in it as well. I owe them a lot.

“Strong people don't put others down... They lift them up.”
- Michael P. Watson

The above quote is all the more true for organizations, and IBA Karachi is the strongest in this regard. An education from a prestigious organization such as IBA would have only been a dream for me with my financial situation, but the THP program will enable me to gain it.

Applying from the perspective of a student in his first year of intermediate, , I was afraid that I would not be able to pass the entrance test. However with the amazing support and guidance from the faculty, mentors and management, and the motivation from our workshop with Sir Hussain Hyder, I succeeded in not only passing the entrance test but even got the third highest score.

This program has affected a phenomenal change in me by giving me confidence, skills and experiences that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Thank you, IBA Karachi. I am forever in your debt.

M. Shahbaz Saleem - BS-AF 2017

Sarchina Kumari

Life is never easy for anyone; nor was it for me. After a series of ups and downs in my life, I was suggested IBA by a friend. And that particular moment, I still believe changed my life. I had a brain but not polished, I had skills but was unaware about their usage, and I had ideas but all jumbled. I was me but not nourished to stand a chance in this world.

And now I am, a better Muhammad Shahbaz Saleem, thanks to the NTHP team, my mentors, teachers and my sponsors who provided me a platform to make me what I am today.

Ehtisham Ullah Baig - BS- Economics & Mathematics 2017

Sarchina Kumari

I was very passionate about pursuing a career in Engineering, but my family wanted me to choose Business, and I did so. To continue my studies, IBA Karachi was the best option, and without NTHP, It was improbable.

Spending two months here at IBA was one of the great experiences I ever had in my life. I got a chance to nourish my skills and to apply them effectively. Unluckily I was not able to make it into BBA program because it was not my freedom of choice.

"Winners are not those who never fail, but those who never quit."

I am very grateful for the support of THP team, faculty & mentors for their support throughout training.

My advice to other students, “The most important thing is to find something you’re passionate about and do that; it’s a lot easier doing something you love”.

It was such a fantastic opportunity in my life to seek the knowledge of advancing world. The way in which I can efficiently live my life came into my mind when I became the part of such an extraordinary program. Every person has some skills to boost up & grow, but they are required to be polished well so that they can be used in a good and trustable manner.

IBA and its talent hunt program not only polished my skills to be used in life but also induced many of the skills which will make my future prosperous and bright in my any task in my upcoming and challenging future.

Sarchina Kumari STHP - 2010

Sarchina Kumari

In 2010, Sarchina kumari, was one of the top 10 position holders of BISE Hyderabad, to be invited in Sindh Talent Hunt

Program of IBA. As High-flier as she was back in her town, so was she during her Journey at IBA.

God gifted is a very small word to describe an intermediate background holder's efforts for preserving her name on the Dean's list of IBA, amidst top O&A Level students. Where an average student of the class would spend 5 hours of the day on something, Sarchina would spend rather 10 to comprehend just the fundamentals of it. What seemed almost impossible to her in beginning, gradually started becoming her routine and she started defining that trait as a major part of her personality. Sarchina, who once was a struggler, is now well known as a Go-Getter!

Where many people were seeing her graduating from IBA with distinction as a "Happy Ending", Sarchina, on the other hand, was already found busy in making even better beginnings. In short span of time, with no surprises, Sarchina ended up being a significant part of the very renowned company, ICI Pakistan Limited. A degree with distinction from one of renowned institutes of Pakistan, a well-earned job at one of the renowned organizations; Sarchina had that all, which 90% people of interior Sindh would just dream of, at her age.

It seemed like Sarchina's dreams are still finding their ways to come true. One of those dreams is being chased by her today, i.e., her Master's Degree as a Fulbright Scholar in Loyola University Chicago, USA.

Sarchina's words about IBA Talent Hunt Programs, IBA Karachi;

"STHP was just the beginning of my dream; my dream will be completed the day when all other people like me would be hunted from less privileged areas across Pakistan and would be given the opportunity to nurture their talent on this platform of IBA."

Talent Hunt Program team wish Sarchina a very best of luck for chasing her dreams today and the ones to be chased in future.

Mushfiq Ali Khan NTHP - 2015

Mushfiq Ali Khan

My dreams were born very far, among mountains, in one of the remote parts of Pakistan. Dream of getting in one of the prestigious university in Pakistan and a dream to continue higher education regardless of financial deficiencies. Similarly, those dreams were hundreds more but was a sole body to put his hand on my shoulder. That's NTHP.

NTHP is a mother to me. I would never be able to return the love and care which I received from NTHP. It enabled me, a farmer's boy, to come to IBA Karachi to materialize his dreams. As an NTHP scholar, I just have to focus on my studies rather than to mourn about my financial background.

I pay my utmost gratitude to the coordinator and sponsors of this program for their divine support, to me and many more like me.

Rabia Basri Komal- BBA 2016 NTHP 2016, IBA

Rabia Basri Komal

My name is Rabia Basri Komal. I am from Mirpurkhas, Sindh. I started my education from Fauji Foundation School, Mirpurkhas. As I belong to a very poor family and a tribe named "Chandio", everyone from my relatives warned my father not to educate daughters. My father was an Airmen in Pakistan Air Force, so he shifted us from Mirpurkhas to Karachi to educate us. I completed my matriculation and intermediate from Fazaia Inter College Malir, Karachi and scored A+ grade in both. My father retired from PAF while I was in Matric though, it became very difficult for me and my siblings to carry on studies.

"Success is not final, Failure is not fatal : It is the courage to continue that counts" Winston Churchill

At that time I wasn't able to think about anything but by the unquestioning support of my father I carried on. The day I received NTHP letter was a turning point of my life. It was just like a miracle. Now I am doing BBA from IBA and life at IBA is just amazing. Now I can see my dream come true only because of ALLAH ALMIGHTY and National Talent Hunt Program and I would like to thank NTHP and the whole NTHP family for their unconditional support and guidance.

Hamza Ahmad Chaudhary NTHP-2016

Hamza Ahmad Chaudhary

If I look back 2 or 3 years in my life, I wouldn't have even thought of being where I stand today. A proud student, of the most premier Institute of the Country, all because of NTHP.

I belong to Faisalabad and would've never thought of coming to Karachi for studying. But God had other plans. I cleared the initial tests and interviews and spent a whole month at IBA where I learnt countless new things and this one month is the reason why I could clear the test. I would give all the credit to the team of National Talent Hunt Program, especially Mam Zeenat Ismail and the generous sponsors, who made this all possible.

My message for all of you would be to think big. Nothing is impossible once you are determined. Always remember that tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life. So, step up and make yourself proud.

Atif Shahan – Bscs 2015 IBA NTHP-2014

Atif Shahan

My father is a tailor by profession and my mother is a house wife. Due to some financial reasons and big family I was not able to get admission in a well-known private Institution yet it was my father's desire to educate his children besides of less resources hence I started my academic career from a Government school and studied there till matriculation. I secured 94 % marks in Matriculation . It was a reward of my remarkable result so I got admission in well-known private institution named Punjab group of Colleges on 100% Scholarship and couple of months after the fact I received a letter from (IBA National talent hunt program – NTHP) a fully funded scholarship program.

This was like a life changing platform and golden opportunity for my future. IBA NTHP facilitate us with each and everything during orientation training .Instructors and mentors truly endeavored to teach us, they helped us in each possible way they can. It was a result of my dedication and prayers of my parents, I secured admission in BS-Computer science.

Lubna Shamsher Khan BS(CS), Fall 2010

"I, Lubna Shamsher Khan belong to a very small village Khana Abad situated in Hunza, Northern Areas Pakistan. My father is retired as a school teacher and my mother is a house wife. In Hunza every other parent put emphasis on getting education but my parents always believed in quality education. Despite of limited earning, my father sent me to the best school named Aga Khan Higher Secondary School Hunza. I took 3rd position in HSSC II from the Karakurum International University examination. One day I got an invitation letter from IBA for fully funded scholarship program named National Talent Hunt program, an opportunity for all aspiring students who got the top 10 positions in their respective HSSC board examination. I was one of the luckiest person who got into the program. NTHP program is a 2 months rigorous training program, where students are given chance to prepare themselves for IBA entry test. It is the best platform for the students like me to come to IBA, study for free and survive at IBA till their graduation without the worries of the expenses. NTHP takes care of all the expenses including IBA tuition fee, books, hostel fee besides providing a monthly stipend."

"Acquiring higher education was always my goal and IBA is an institute where the path to such a goal is illuminated. But finance was a big problem in my way and NTHP served this purpose very well. The preparation classes were conducted by such qualifies teachers that despite of a very short teaching period I was able to clear the admission test with pretty good marks. Thanks IBA for providing me such an opportunity!

"This journey to IBA seemed almost impossible especially in my circumstances but from the very beginning I have believe that "Losers have reasons to loose and winners have reasons to win". A loser uses to see difficulty in every opportunity whereas a winner uses to see opportunity in every difficulty. In general hard work in right direction provided with dedication, persistence, perseverance became the secret of my success, glazed with self-belief and enveloped with prayers of my parents, teachers and my friends.

I'm really Gratified to Almighty and thank IBA Dean and Director, Dr. Ishrat Husain and the Coordinator for not only giving me the opportunity to prove myself but also making me believe in myself , telling me that nothing is impossible in this world if only we crave to accomplish it . The journey was never easy for any of us but the result was fruitful and now it is because of all the mentors and teachers ,who were always ready to help us in every possible way, that I'm enrolled in IBA for the BS(CS) program successfully .This scholarship program beyond any doubt lead me to my dream.

"To me, my success began on that day when I was selected for NTHP. During training, my friend said after my one minute speech in my presentation classes "You were looking very confident". I was very much happy after hearing this. I was not getting good marks in my tests but I didn't lose my hope. I work hard and got admission in IBA. This program gives me a platform to recognize my capabilities. I am thankful to IBA for organizing such a program (NTHP) where every student gets the chance to fulfill their dreams. I am feeling very proud to be a part of this program.

"NTHP-Truly a savior for me. Studying from a Government college and weak financial status, made me think of changing my dream, but then I applied for IBA via NTHP, which made my dream come true. Summing up the whole experience, it was fantastic. Studying in IBA, the best business school, and on 100% scholarship, truly is possible only because of NTHP and Ihsan Trust. I was also amongst those who received 50% scholarship because of the highest marks in the BBA Aptitude Test, and this was only possible because of the one month training, teaching and stay at IBA via NTHP. Thank you IBA-NTHP."

Nauman Bashi, BBA, Fall 2013

Nauman

"The truth that I belonged to an unprivileged area of Pakistan, Gilgit, was making my dream to study at IBA impossible, until I found about NTHP. NTHP with its promise to help talented people from backward areas was explicitly "what the doctor had prescribed"! The free accommodation provided at IBA hostel, free food, Rs. 3000 stipend per month, free testing material, classes by the IBA faculty and a chance to spend 30 days at IBA and interact with IBAians removes the illusion from your mind that you belong to a financially poor background and you are inferior to others. Had there not been the National Talent Hunt Program, I would never ever have been able to qualify for BBA and Bs. Economics and Mathematics at IBA."

Rija Arsalan Adhami, BS(Accounting & Finance), Fall 2013

Rija

"I am one of the students who dreamt about being a part of the most prestigious institute i.e. The IBA. Fortunately, I got this bright opportunity in the form of IBA's NTHP in 2013, which provided excellent academic knowledge along with 100% scholarship. Since, I belong to a family, for which the fee expense of IBA is unbearable. Therefore, NTHP proved to be an amazing helping hand. The brilliant faculty of NTHP proved to be a phenomenal guidance in evaluating my within potential and remarkably groomed my personality. Finally, I got my way in IBA as a BS(Accounting & Finance) student by burning the candles at both end. For this achievement of mine, I am grateful to the Dean and Director Dr. Ishrat Husain, the pioneer of NTHP. In a nutshell IBA's NTHP proved to be the key to the lock of my dream coming true!"

Mir Yahya Ismail Memon, BBA, Batch 2007

yahya

"NTHP program provides a uniquely amazing opportunity to all IBA-aspirants to fulfill their dreams irrespective of their background. Pre-admission classes on campus, accommodation at hostels, and field trips over the course of program provide a true picture of a typical life at IBA. NTHP provided me with a privilege to study at the most dynamic and exciting business school of Pakistan. It opened doors to a completely new and challenging world for me. During these four years, I have been tested, challenged and pushed to limits. Rest all said, this institution instilled self-confidence, patience and encouraged me to be myself.

I have cleared the highly sophisticated Energy Risk Professional Exam conducted by GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals, USA) in 2012. Along with this, I am also CFA level –II student. Recently I was selected by the World Energy Council (WEC) to participate in the upcoming FUTURE ENERGY LEADERS' PROGRAMME program to be held in Daegu, Korea (Rep. of) from October 13-17, 2013. I am working with the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) since January 2012."

"Getting selected in the NTHP developed the required focus, passion and ambition in me to be successful at the global stage. I have been able to maintain the same focus till this day, and it has helped me achieve many successes in my professional career. The NTHP provides you access to the best faculty and the best students in Pakistan. This network helps you in many ways during your professional life. In order to further polish my abilities and enhance my capabilities, once again, I would thank and congratulate IBA for initiating a wonderful program like National Talent Hunt. It should be continued for all times to come, as it provides a life-turning opportunity for many students like me. I value the learning experience and respect all my teachers for their guidance and support. I feel extremely proud that I am part of the National Talent Hunt Program. I consider myself lucky and honored to be associated with such a great program that shaped my whole career."

Sameen Fatima, BS(CS), Batch 2005

"The Program is designed to train the students from all over Pakistan. It helped me a lot to learn how to work in a team, compete positively and more importantly, manage time and stress. The impact was remarkable as I was able to get into IBA where I not only got nurtured academically but morally and professionally too. It gave me chance to be part of the best institute in Pakistan. And I feel very proud to be part of it."

Jahanzaib Riaz, BBA, Batch 2007

Jahanzaib

"Education from a government college combined with lack of financial resources, seemed to be insurmountable barriers when I thought of applying to IBA. The problem of financial resources was resolved when IBA sought applications for the National Talent Hunt Program. Still, the challenge for me was my strongly-held belief in my incompetence to survive at IBA. I had drawn all the comparisons between me and a typical IBA student, and found myself inferior in terms of communication skills, academic knowledge and confidence. The only asset I had was determination."
